I remembered at the old SoftFSB times where it was possbile to change the FSB in Windows, but it doesn't support my board. Does anybody knows a program for changing the FSB on an ASRock K7VT4?

It says something stupid? I know it, it can't be, you got a 2600+ and it says yours is downgradet from 2500+, how could this be?

beomaster, if you look, its a 2600 runnin on a 133 fsb, im guessing it wasnt good enough to be a 2500 running at 166 fsb??

Here it says Barton 1,65v 85°C and downgradet from 2700+, OK, but I don't know if this really is right with this downgradet ****. Often it seems to be right, but by turboviper it was wrong. I really don't know

its incredible, it says downgradet from 2400, from now on I don't belive in this programm anymore, but interesting, the new AQFZA stepping, how far can you go?

If you happened to be living in a cave for the past 15 years, you might not have noticed that my program, uAMDtool, isn't exactly "accurate" for "Downgraded from" ratings.

Well, I lie. It's spot on to be honest, but there is no such thing as a "Downgraded rating" it seems - some people still seem to believe in it, so it was added in due to some requests.

Let the babies have their bottles...

Note that every other part of the stepping decoder (basically anything that isn't "Downgraded from") seems to work fine.

I got myself a good old AQXEA "Y" stepping, but i seem to have come to a sort of block, I cant seem to get past 2400 without going past 1.75v on an NF7-S Rev 2.0, is this just a common thing or am i doing something wrong?

I have come across a T-bred 2400 Aixub. Anyone hear of this stepping and if so is it a good one. One of my customers purchased it from newegg recently with a A7N8X. Of cousre they cannot get it to post. I have the machine and will troubleshoot it but I'm so backed up with work I havent had time.

Athlon xp 2400 AIXUB 03/31 I think.
Thanx:)

Oh....If I double posted, sorry bout that.

wat is L1 L10 and L3 bridge

"The Duron , Athlon Thunderbird , Athlon XP Palomino processors have the multiplier locked from the factory , and to unlock it you must connect the L1 bridges . It will unlock all the multipliers in the 5X-12.5X range , except for the XP2100+ and XP2200+ with Palomino core , wich will have the 13X-18.5X range available . On any CPU you can toggle between the multiplier ranges (5-12.5X to 13X-18.5X) by changing the connection of the L10 bridges (cut one and connect the other) .

The Athlon XP Thoroughbred core and Barton processors have the multiplier unlocked from the factory , so any motherboard that has the option for multiplier setting cand adjust it . The processors under 2000+ have the 5X-12.5X range available , and the 2100+ and higher have the 13X-18.5X range available . The exceptions are XP2600+ / 333FSB and Barton 2500+ , wich have the 5X-12.5X range available . To toggle between ranges , you need to connect/cut the rightmost L3 bridge .

Why would you want to "toggle" between ranges if it is unlocked from factory?

OK guys first time poster long time reader. LOL

Heres what I got just picked up a Barton 2500 from newegg with the following info.
AXDA2500DKV4D
Y898277260177
AQYFA0343WPMW

So far as I can Determin its only 3 weeks old I was just curious if anyone else has seen this paticular steeping and what I can expect to get out of it. I will post updates as I have 2 NF2 boards that I will be using it in. A Chaintech Mini-ATX what I have in for a HTPC review and when thats done it will be going into my Gameing rig on a ASUS A7n8x-Delux. anybody got any ideas on that steeping?

Hi all,

I need to replace my ageing Thunderbird 1g@1400
(iwill kk266r) ;) and after reading about the new Applebred Durons i scrapped my plans for an OC Barton 2500 in favour of 4x (yes four!) Applebred 1600's from ebuyer.com at a mere £23 each... :p

Here... (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=52134)

They have 1400 and 1800 also... only UK supplier afaik

What I really wanna do is unlock the cache and multiplier and run a matched overclocked pair of them as Athlon MP beaters in a MSI K7D Master L Dual Mobo...

:toast:

I thought a good omen for this is that 2 of the chips are sequentially serial numbers.. ending 42 and 43 :D

They all are labelled as follows

DHD1600DLV1C 235701524xxxx
MIXIB0342WPMW

Unlike photos I have seen of the Applebred, these puppies are green packaging and you can hardly see the Lx bridges.. and i cant find anything about the stepping - could anyone point be in the direction of how to unlock the cache, multiplier and SMP capabilities? :helpme

Anyone know what i can expect as an OC? Or do you need to wait for my results for that ?

the MIXHB reach normaly over 2000 with default VCore. And the chance to reactivate the full 256kb L2 Cache is very big.

Hi Beomaster,

the MIXHB reach normaly over 2000 with default VCore. And the chance to reactivate the full 256kb L2 Cache is very big.

Thanks but I knew that the MIXHB has good potential and thought that my supplier was shipping them, but I received MIXIB Duron 1600 instead (4 of them). Anyone had any O/C experience of the MIXIB?

:thwack

I will post my results once tested (not used yet..) but if anyone could give me the web address(es) of a HOWTO on unlocking the Green Applebred Durons - Multiplier, Cache and Multi Processor I'd be very grateful..

:helpme

Thanks in advance Caleb.

the later durons are multi locked and as yet no known way exists
to unlock them.this also applys to the cache.most of the 0342
are locked.

You've missed off the Athlon Thoroughbred B 2800+ which most people don't seem to believe exist :(

They have been arround for ages in engineering sample form and are now widely available from retailers and ebay for at least the last 3-4 months

If you have the details that would be great. Looking at the chip the L1's look connected (not tested on my metre) as there are no pits.

When I try to change the multiplyer in the bios (watchdog enabled) it reboots, black screens, then reboots again with the multiplyer set back to original :(

Regards

I have a T-Bred+b2100. It's a JUHIB. Says right on the chip, and in AIDA32, and in SiSoft. you don't have it listed. I can get it to 2.4Ghz stable. Heat is the only problem.

"The Athlon XP Thoroughbred core and Barton processors have the multiplier unlocked from the factory , so any motherboard that has the option for multiplier setting cand adjust it "

My mobo Chaintech 7NJL1 Apogee supports MP upto 22.5 / My proc is a 2800+ Barton ( AQXEA 0318MPMW) which should be unlocked.
I cannot, however, get the MP above 12.5. Lower is possible.
I can raise it in the BIOS but that only results in max 12.5.
Looked for an answer everywhere but can't find it.

ANYONE ????

You will have to mod one of the bridges in order to get the upper group of multipliers I think, either that or a wire mod to the pins of the chip...
