Most of the 275's on Newegg are going for more than the original MSRP ($250) when it was released months ago! I know TSMC is having issues with their 40mm production, but when is this madness going to end? I very much want to upgrade my current card but do not want to buy now and see prices drop by triple digits in two months. A 5850 or equivalent would be nice, but when are they going to available in decent numbers so prices begin to fall? :ehhsad:

    * We need to see CPU-Z 1.52 in that screenshot
* You need to run Furmark for at least 600 seconds and show us that in the screenshot

We'll also need a photo:

* We need to see a photo of your PC showing the MSI card.

I installed my Quadro drivers on my modded 6800GT on my 754 system, and the picture output is not smooth. It lags whenever I do something, be it 2D or 3D, every seconds. Not really big, but, its like if it would skip a few frames every seconds. Im doing nothing else but to move the mouse around the screen... no software running.

The card is correctly using the Quadro drivers, or so it seems, as it is being seen as a FX4000 and the Quadro drivers kicked in.

Not sure what's going on here, on the DFI it worked with no problems, but on the ASRock mobo it stutters?

Its also quite noticeable when I maximize/minimize windows, or drag them around. Changing pages also shows a progressive drawing (albeit very quick, the time of the stutter only, but it should not be doing that), and if I fire up SolidWorks and draw something in 3D and make it revolve, the performance is there and obviously the Quadro is kicking in, but it still stutters.

Anybody knows whats going on here? Ima try and remove the GeForce drivers on which I installed the Quadro drivers, it might cause an issue...

Additional Comment:

It seems related to Flash, since my online classes are Flash-based and when the teacher shares his desktop, the picture is refreshed 1 time per second (yeah 1FPS is pretty bad), and if I close the browser I have no more problems.

Fired up Furmark in a 320x240 window so that I could have a smoother framerate to see the stuttering, it is stuttering every second when Flash is running, but not anymore when I close the browser.

Weird, Ive never had this issue before. Somebody got a fix?

Well first off, sorry for how long its taken to get this up, its been busy.

To the hard truth.... :evil
I had 2 sli'ed 8800GTS 512mb cards running in my test PC and saw some great scores and performances, though it wasn't top-noutch it was great for the every-other day gamer.

Then i got the GTX 280...what can i say? Its a great running card.. Running at 750/1500/1330 i saw amazing performances but only just only, out scored the duel 8800's. Where it does win the race is with higher res's, AA, SSAO and multisampling.

Here are the scores, all tests were tested on the same computer with close/same clocks.

Test PC:

CPU: e8400 @4.5ghz
MOBO: Evga 780i sli
RAM: 4gb Patriot viper 1066
PSU: Corsair HX620
HDD: 160gb 7200rpm

Setup 1 equals Test PC + Duel 8800GTS's

Setup 2 equals Test PC + Single GTX 280

Vantage:(PPU OFF)

- Setup 1: CPU score; 8637 + GPU score; 12478 = P11229
- Setup 2: CPU score; 8906 + GPU score; 12983 = P11650

Conclusion: A 412 point raise or 3.61% gain.
3dmark 2006:

- Setup 1: SM2.0 score; 6998 + HDR/SM3.0 score; 8071 = 16167

- Setup 2: SM2.0 score; 8865 + HDR/SM3.0 score;9441 = 19073

Conclusion: 2,906 mark raise or 15.23% gain.

3dmark 2005:

- Setup 1: 26326

- Setup 2: 26900

Conclusion: 574 mark raise or 2.13% gain.

3dmark 2003:

- Setup 1: 59153

- Setup 2: 62656

Conclusion: 3,503 mark raise or 5.59% gain.

Those are the only benchs i got to test.

Final Thoughts;

So in the long run whats gonna be better?

Even though you see a close run point-wise with the duel 8800GTS's they fail in giving good FPS with higher resolutions and be ready to see a dramatic drop in frame rate when you turn on AA. SSAO kills frame rates quicker then you can say it. But for all its short comings the dual 88's will keep the low end gamer happy.

The GTX 280 is blazing fast for a single card. It delivers continual Frame Rates at high resolutions, we see only a 2-4 fps drop when AA is turned on and it blows right through SSAO. Its not a card thats going to show off point-wise in benchmarks but it sure can run a graphic intense application like it wasn't there.
