Sempron VS Phenom 2 X4 w/ati 5770

So i have two machines both with ddr3 1600 memory. One is a 3.645ghz sempron and the other is a 3.4ghz callisto 550 unlocked to a quad core. Both are using the gigabyte 770t ud3p motherboard with ATI 5770

3.4ghz Callisto scored 16,787 (gpu 900/1250)
3.4ghz Callisto scored 16,787 (gpu 900/1250)
3.645ghz Sempron scored 11,165 (gpu 900/1250)

Its a huge difference, but the interesting fact is the difference in framerate was only about 7%. When the callisto was hitting 103fps, the single core sempron was still turning a respectable 95fps. I believe the ati 5770 is bottlenecked by the sempron, because after overclocking the ati 5770 on the sempron the score only changed by a mere 15 instead of 1,100 like i saw with the callisto. the SM 2.0 score actually dropped on the sempron after the gpu overclock.

The SM2.0 /3.0 scores were extremely close on both systems. CPU score was 5100ish on callisto while a measley 1539 on the sempron.

I just wanted to post my findings because I find a sempron powered system perfectly acceptable performance for budget gaming and general computing.

Ok, so my process runs at 3.1Ghz on 1.45v, but I'm afraid to push it any further. My Nvidia 9800 GT will bench at 712/895/1695 speeds. Everything is water cooled. Shouldn't this put me at about 11000?
