I'm an AMD user, and from what I hear Intels don't really rely on latencies as much as AMDs. OCZ and Corsair both make a great product, but my one word of caution is your possible purchase with www.computerhq.com
They aren't doing too hot on ressellerratings. Check it out.
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1902.html
P.S. I have a friend who uses those exact sticks of Corsair in a Dual Channel formation with an AMD machine, and he loves them. They're power hungry sometimes, but rock solid reliable. You'd be buying from a company with a great reputation.
Good luck

I would go for the OCZ if I were you. I'd also suggest making your purchase from newegg or zipzoomfly.

There both high quality just make sure you can exchange it for something else in case you run into compatability issues with the OCZ. I had problems with it in my Asus P4C 800-Deluxe but you probably won,t. Most people have no issues with the high speed OCZ but some people have had problems.

id go with corsair..i dont remember ocz been verified for asus p4c800-e dlx.. though it should be by now..

and get pc4000 or higher so you can run 1:1 and have ram at its true speed which it is rarely at, then have plenty of room to increase your fsb

I doubt he would be breaking 260fsb with his 2.8C, so PC4000 is enough IMHO. In this case, I would prefer the OCZ over the Corsair (not a usual thing for me)

Heres the Corsair for $270 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=85017-14

You may also want to consider the Corsair 3200XL memory. It is based on Samsung 4ns (250fsb) TCCD chips. It will do 200fsb at 2,2,2,5 timings, and 250 at 2.5,3,3,6 timings. Something to look at... http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=80097-08 its pretty expensive right now. But something to look at if your not purchasing right away.

I am thinking about getting the Corsair pc4000 and I looked at the box for my processor and it says 2.80E ghz if that makes any difference.

That means its a Prescott based core. Make sure you have good cooling if you are planning to OC. Your gonna need it, those prescott cores get hot. You can get a SLK-947u cheap at www.SVC.com, add a 92mm Tornado, and your set.

I am going to be using watercooling on it. Already got a via aqua 1300, a WhiteWater waterblock, a DD Heater Core and shroud, with 1/2" ID clearflex tubing, and a 5.25 bay res. Just need to pick up the ram and a few fans to complete the setup and see what I can do

I have a few different DC ram kits. On my p4c800 and max 3 they all do basicly the same speeds. OCZ 1gig 4000gold 263 1:1, 512 4200el 273 1:1 (303/242 5:4 max3 only), 1 gig 4400 gold 275 1:1 (will do 285 1:1 on my msi 875p 3v, and only 270 on my max3) Corsair twinx 4000 2551:1

Timings on all the OCZ was 2.5-4-3 and 3-4-4 on the corsair.

BTW I got my 4400 gold from www.computerhq.com with prompt service, the only thing I have gotten there tho.

whoa, that XL stuff is already available? sweet. the OCZ has better latencies(not that it will make much if any difference), but the corsair has little lights which show real-time activity if thats ur type of thing. u cant go wrong with either, and both will oc nicely above what theyre rated for if necessary, the OCZ might go further(as if ull need it) if u relax the timings.
