Windows 98 Bootable CD-Images
I know you can make a images using ghost but i need bootable cd's. I know how to clone the hd's but i dont want to open them up and plug in the extra hd. I was wondering if theres a way to but the ghost image onto a cd-r and its bootable? This way it will save me lots of time. The image wont execed 700mb because only win98, drivers and small apps will get installed on the initial pc. Thanks. |

Just install what you want on 1 PC, Ghost to CD-R,
set target PC's to boot from CD, then Ghost from CD-R to the HDD's. PM me if you need more. Dave

The Ghost CD itself is bootable and loads the program so you can restore an image on the HD.

That is only for XP/2003 it says. He wants to do Windows98...
I'm sure you could make an unattended installation of Windows (maybe with 98, I don't know), and have it install all the programs and whatnot, but since they are all identical machines, making one exactly how you want it, then imaging it would still be the fastest. |

Just make a copy of the ghost cd and add the image file you want to use to the cd provided its not larger than the cd can hold than you have to pan the image accross multiple cds.
