Honestly I don't see the need for any change in your system specs except for the ram, and yeah that 2GB of GSkill should do you just fine. As far as changing the mobo, you can do that, and the only benefit that you may get, is probably a higher overclock on your CPU. Other than that your best choice is to get the 2GB G.Skill memory, if you have the extra cash go ahead and get the mobo also.
good luck. |

RAM - yes Mobo - no
You've got a very decent OC there with your current mobo, changing to the DFI will only get you another 100Mhz boost max I think, unless you are planning to put some crazy voltage through your X2. Depending on stepping I'd say 2.8G is pretty near the limit of a 3800+. I have the same CPU with A8R-MVP and I "only" achieved 2.65Ghz 1.45V stable so far, currently running it @2.6 and I'm happy, thought about changing to DFI Ultra-D, too but the extra Mhz does not justify the effort. Be happy with your OC man .I'd say save the mobo money for a decent graphic card, that is if you're gaming of course. |

I've got a really good stepping, its a Toledo. I can run 2.7 on stock volts. I bought both the ram and the mobo from the FS section, but a buddy is needed a new mobo so I might just sell him the dfi.
