Exclamation Help!!!

Ok fellerz, one of my ubuntu/smp/folding rigs is going goofy on me. I looked at it and it had EUEd a wu and was trying to send back whatever it does, but couldn't because it was trying to connect to server ip 0.0.0.0. So I tried quitting and rerunning, same thing. Tried deleting and restarting and I got that the version I was using ended on Jan 15. So I finally got it straightened out, got a new version, got it installed set up and tried running, but again got the same trying to connect to server 0.0.0.0. I rebooted, updated ubuntu, but no go. Anyone have any ideas?!? I know absolutely nothing about linux, so keep your instructions simple. Thanks.

this is whats going on.....http://fah-web.stanford.edu/serverstat.html

server 171.64.65.56 is down...it is REJECTing all connection attempts for some reason. From the log it looks like its been doing it since noon CST (10PST in the log)

Dont know what else to do but wait...i got one WU i am trying to upload too but cant.....

Work Unit has an invalid address.
If you are assigned to 0.0.0.0, there's nothing you can do except to wait for the guys at Stanford to fix the problem.

and the downside is you can't get a new WU to start until the completed one is sent.

This sounds like a self-perpetuating failure. The job server shuts down because it's low on work, and because of that, nobody can turn any work in to create new work to free up the allocation server.... ooopsie.

For once, I'm actually grateful to have the 2124 and 2126 running on normal cores on the Windows side :+) even though waving the calculator over the times...

2592sec/frame ~72 hours / 2124 WU@396 pts = 132 PPD
1528 sec /frame ~42.4 hours / 2126 WU@373 pts = 210.9 PPD

do Intel processors get the same sort of PPD disparity, or is this an AMD thing? These are on two sides of an Opteron 170@2.8GHz. Hmmm, come to think of it, I've got a VMware Linux 64 bit client trying to get an SMP WU, I suppose that could be cutting into the p2124's rate.

I havn't seen anything on stanfords forums about the server being down, yet I just noticed it myself. WTF...lol
But thats why I still run two normal WU on the boxes with VM - SMP because of just this..

I did find that they are talking about it too..no answers from anyone with stanford yet

Additional Comment:

Well I decided that since we have this break...which will prob kill my ppd...I'll going to go take out my frustration on some 2142...I'll put VM back up later...
