biostar 945p overclocking

I´m trying to overclock my system, but I´m finding some problems, mostly with the cpu clock on the bios,as far as I know, this motherboard is a real crap, not good for overclocking.
I can only overclock my cpu to 15%,I have a conroe 6300,running now at 2165MHZ,looking to the bios,I have a item called "cpu clock" where I can change between the numbers 266 to max 400,I have now at 306,any value above this produce lots of errors, like my hard disk be not detectable,or the computer not iniciate.
using the everest ultimate,I can see something like cpu multiplier limited to 7X,maybe the problem is the cpu locked, and not the motherboard,I really dont know,I would like to put the system, running much faster.
any help please.
other thing:I want to upgrade my bios, but I dont have a floppy disk connected to my computer, there is any way to flash the bios without the floppy disk, something like flashing directly from the operating system?

thanks people.

Is there a PCIe Frequency option in BIOS? If there is, manually set it to 100MHz. Drives disappear when their bus is overclocked too far. If you can't lock that frequency, you have reached the board's maximum overclock.

Oh, and Welcome to EOCF!

no,there´s no PCI frequency option in bios, the options are:

CPU VOLTAGE
MEMORY VOLTAGE
NB/SB VOLTAGE
FSB TERMINATION VOLTAGE
CPU CLOCK

this are my definitions:

cpu voltage: +0.400V
M voltage: 2.2V
NB/SB voltage: 1.7V
FSB termination V: 1.5V
cpu clock: options= min :266 , max: 400 , i have 306 more than this looks impossible.

I know my DDR 533 are very poor to provide a good overclocking, there is any chance if I upgrade the memory to a better overclocking?

and thanks a lot for the welcome,I enjoy to be a part of this community.

Without the PCIe lock 306MHz is your maximum CPU Clock. When you increase the Front Side Bus the PCIe, PCI and SATA bus also increase. Those buses can only be overclocked 15% on most systems (306MHz is 15% over 266MHz).

You should be able to lower your CPU's voltage back to default. The clock speed isn't high enough to require an increase. That will help keep it cooler under load too.

Post screenshots from CPU-Z Memory and SPD Tabs. There might be room for improvement. I don't think you need to replace your ram.

Be sure to check out the video\nvidia section for tips on overclocking that 8600GT too.

945p chipsets dont have a pci lock mine didnt on my old asus even tho it acted like it did you would get no post. I could go up to 348fsb or somthing befor my sata drives didnt work but that ment running my pcie at 119mhz. On flashing bios you could use a usb flashstick or make a bootable cdrom.
