Creative's X-Fi vista drivers are purposely bugged so they can push their next product lineup. Use onboard sound and see if the problem is still there. If it goes away, sell the X-Fi and get an Asus Xonar.

Yup its the Vista creative drivers from what I can tell about the error. There is quite a controversy surrounding their crippling of drivers for Vista so they can push new product lines. Creative is one of the worst companies around.

Ok, I've changed the X-Fi drivers to the YouPax ones and it still gave the error, I used some alternate Vista drivers and the error still occurred.
I've taken the X-Fi out and used the Realtek Onboard audio. It was fine for a few days, I've just got back home and found it on the Bad_Pool_Caller error. I have no idea what it could possibly be. Any ideas? |
