Question VC RAM Speed Question..

I have a Gainward ti4200 and was curious as to what to watch out for when overclocking the RAM speed on your video card. I know that when you OC the core that it locks up or glitches when you OC too much. But how do you know if you OC the VC RAM too much. Is it the same as the core?? Thanks

when the ram is oced to far you will see artifacts (little lines shooting across the screen or just a bunch of sparkles)

Oh, so it is different than the problems experienced with OCing the core??

Hey shroomer I read somewhere on one of you're replys that you have a Gainward as well. Mine is a Golden Sample with 128 MB RAM with the cooling that came with it? Is this cooling decent, or is better cooling available?? Or worth the money??

Yeah there's bettercooling avalible and I think most avid VC overclockers get rid of the stock cooling. There's the ThermalTake GeForce 4 cooling and other things like the crystal orb. They are only around 20$ and it'll get you more frames and such. If you got the money to spare go ahead and do it
