First question, what is your budget on memory?

Oh man, is it the Evga one? Seriously DO NOT get it. They're horribly overpriced, poorly built, and have poor RAID. Someone I know bought one, it failed after a few weeks. They gave him a new one, he sold it to me, I lost 750gb of irreplaceable data, and the board is of for an RMA.

(Mind_Reader7) I really hope what your saying is a joke because Ive all ready bought the board lol.
(FX5200) I have a lower budget so I cant shoot for the stars but somewhere in between would be nice. Thanks for the replies guys Rig : --MB: Evga Nforce 790i SLI FTW --Graphics: Looking at the GTX 295 --Case: none --memory: none --monitor:22" acer AL2216W |

If you haven't opened to board, I would advise getting a refund on it. That's my 2 cents though. It's a great overclocker, however I never plan on buying another Evga motherboard. Evga are generally pretty good with replacing faulty products though.
As for the graphics card, I would have advised an HD5870, but seeing as it's a SLI board, you may as well go for the GTX295. What's your budget for case/RAM? |

Thanks for the reply Mind Reader7
Sorry to say but Ive already opened the box in hast lol. As for memory and case Im thinking of building my own case as I want the cooler kit outside of the box and Im looking to speed $100-240cnd for 4 gigs of memory but would love to get more bang for the buck. Does a brandname powersupply make any difference in a build? |

This stuff is great. You can afford 2 kits, however the board is said to have trouble with 4 stick of RAM, unless you up the NB voltage. A quality PSU is a must. Because I promise you, with a GTX295, a poor power supply will stop working, and may destroy other components. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16817139009 (My reccomendation) As for the case, if you're up to the task of making it, go for it. |

Quite alright. Hopefully you have a good board, I just had a horrible experience, and so did the guy who sold me his new one.
