first step is to Buy a new third party good HeatSink and Fan For your CPU .
second would be to read these articles
Motherboards (Intel): Extreme BIOS Glossary
CPU: Intel - HOWTO Overclock C2Q (Quads) and C2D (Duals) - A Guide v1.4
Cooling: The ultimate air cooling tutorial guide.
Memory: Ultimate RAM guide
PSU: Power Supply Guide for Today's & Tomorrow's Computers

these were essentials.

I'm sure after some reading and experiencing with overclocking ,you'll come and ask help on how to reach 3.5 ghz as just by adding a little to FSB you can achieve 2.8 and really the gain in performance is so small just for 0.3ghz oover a 2.5ghz

Thing is, the OP's board has a G31 chipset. No voltage increases, not much in the way of overclocking except FSB/RAM ratio, and FSB raise.

OP, I would bump your FSB up to 300Mhz, see if it boots. If it does, keep bumping, if not, go back down until you find a stable OC.

JEskandari seems to be offline, but I have a similar mobo.

If you're lucky, you could be looking at maybe 3.2 to 3.5Ghz, after that it will start to get unstable.

But, there's only one way to find out, and that's, try it
