O ok I get it, thanks for clarifying.

Anyway I thought I'll do some test...back to 4GB "Dual Channel" now, what voltage did you use on your RAM to keep that 1100Mhz stable? Just wanted to know.

OK submitted a screenie of everest, how comes your latencies and other speeds are faster, can you note down your full overclock settings including voltages?

Thanks

i will try to track that down... that was one board and two cpus ago, but i will guess it was the northbridge. what is yours at? the nb really opens up the ram and also overclocks the L3 cache.

well, the most info i probably have is right there on the everest screenie. when i had ddr2, i never ran it over the recommended 2.1 v for the memory i had... which i think was patriot at that time. i don't really like overvolting ram and am willing to run it at the best it can on stock volts.

at this moment i am shutting down and installing my new C3 965, so i'll be back in a while if there is anything more specific i can provide.

i think i had the HT v @ 1.24, and the NB core v would have been auto.

O ok then thanks, Well my CPU NB is at 2.4Ghz atm, but for some reason whenever I overclock via the FSB/HT I will get either a worker stopped in prime95 and sooner or later will get a BSOD in windows, so I need to find a way to keep my RAM stable along with my CPU NB.

No it isn't I can get way higher but found 2400 to give me stability on stock volts on the CPU-NB, but I would like to at least run at 2800, any pointers?

Yh I no on that end.

Ok the NB then for a stable HT increase. What voltage do I need to bump up?

Hypertransport or core/pcie voltage. I'm guessing the hypertransport?

The HT and NB are linked by default. You should be able to run any clock speed you want as long as the HT is = or less than the NB speed.

I've used up to 1.35v HT and 1.5v NB. These are my settings between 2800 and 3000mhz NB speed HT at 2600 or more.

OK I gave it

206 HT with 1.24v HTv
Running 3.7Ghz and a CPU-NB of 2884
RAM Running at 1100Mhz with 2.16v

So far running ok, still have to stress test which I am dreading.

Screenie of new Everest benchmark attached.

If it's cooled well, it'll do fine.

If your talking about the memory then I got a fan blowing right at them on the side.

Just got a system crash now. Going to try and increase the CPU-nb voltage to 1.4625v an see what happens.

you will most likely have to bump the cpu/nb voltage if you fail the stress testing.
