Ultra ChillTEC on an amd quad system

lately ive been looking into upgrading my cooling systems as i think i may have injured my xig dark knight from lapping it.

i just found this at tigerdirect and was wondering if this would be worth it for an amd quad core. my friend bought this back when it was $150 and it cools his dual core intel great. i think its an e8400 and if the monitor in the bay thing is correct i dont think his cpu has gone over 38c

It would probably cool a mild over clocked Phenom. Sparkey247 knows about these coolers. Look for him in the Intel Cpu section. He's owned 2 or 3 of these and had them on Intel quads as well.

I had one of these and it worked pretty well, I believe I was using a P_D945 oc'd to `4.5 or so with much heat and it did a good job keeping temps down. I want to use it again but cant find it........
