Buying GTX 480 in America and ship to Australia??

Gday, I was wondering if i could buy a EVGA GTX480 from America and get it shipped to Australia. Would i still have warranty?

The GTX480 is $800 here, which is a rip off.
They are only $500 USD ($543.50 AUD) in America

Cheers

Yes you would still get the warranty, and that is an interesting find on the price. But you can't blame sites like PCCG for doing this, they will still sell all of their stock.

I would be a bit concerned in case you need to RMA the card. The distance might make the RMA time quite long, IF it has to be sent back to the US.

If you know sombody in the states they could put it in a flat rate box for you for 13 dollars, I guess you would just have to claim a value of 400. assuming the dementions would be that size. but even the medium box at 40 is still cheeper than 300.

I feel the pain, I had to get all my stuff shiped to hawaii, so much for the good deals with free shipping.

lol yeah but I don't no anyone enough to be throwing $600 around, I wonder if they will drop there prices, because alot of people in Aus aren't going to pay that price. If it gets to mid $600 AUD I would probably go for it.

From looking at the benchmarks, I don't no where people got its only 5% quicker than a 5870???, its not far away from the 5970!!.

This is a company that repackages things to send to via us postal service to Hawaii using flat rate boxes etc. Found them when I was looking for some shiping info. I have never used them, because my parents reship for me, but it might be an option for you.

There are some australian people here that asked fellow US members to send them stuff.

It costs more than $13 for a flat rate box + insurance, you'll want a very safe package to travel the world, and it's going to cost more t osend it to Australia... flat rate won't get there.

And even with the increased shipping prices, it's going to be cheaper than buying it from Australia.

The quote for 13 bucks dose not include the insurance, but it is the price for a flat rate box to down under right off the USPS sight. That is if it fits in a small box, price jumps to 30 bucks in the medium box.

I used it for my mom to send me my cpu ram, os, mobo to hawaii, and it arrived just fine.

Is there no Queen's postal service to get goods cheaply around the British empire?

Price for a medium flat rate box to Australia is $44 without insurances. Just checked it out on their website. You wouldn't want anything else lower/smaller, it wouldn't fit. A medium flat rate box can house a motherboard box if I remember... and a video card is fairly heavy (huge heatsink).

Wasnt sure how big of a box you need. My mom shiped all my crap out in a large flat rate box. It was 500 worth or merch. I think the insurance on it was only 7 dollars or something. Either way its better than 300. I got delivery confirmation too, just so I could prove if I had gotten it in case it was "lost"

There's not much of a difference between the medium and the large boxes, depending on which medium box you pick, but the price goes up. If the video card can fit in a medium rate then it would definitively be the way to go. Insurance will be a bit more but it will still be tons better compared to buying the card directly from Australia.

I've had EOCF members help me out with this before and they didn't rob me.

Saved hundreds of dollars. Australia really is ludicrous when it comes to prices, everything is twice as expensive as anywhere else. I can buy things overseas, pay the currency conversion, pay the international shipping and still have things come out literally less than half the price of buying things here and that doesn't even include the additional cost for domestic shipping.

Id volunteer, but by the time you pay for it to reach Hawaii, it would be self defeating.
