Just start with your basic shapes, small renders, then work from there.
http://www.tutorialized.com/view/tut...llusions/57547 Best way to learn is to just jump in, and try to render design things that you can clearly see in your mind. You have to be able to "see" what you want to do. |

I actually started out using a ton of textbooks and instruction since I took it in college. I'm not sure how to self start because the program itself has the learning curve of a cliff, however I'll poke around a little and see what I can come up with for ya

No kidding, just tried the tutorial that comes with the program for some basic 3D modelling, first was a "15 min guide" it was written like: "Click this, that and that button", then I would spend and hour and a half trying to figure out where everything was located
![]() I had been looking at a few other 3D programs too, and heard Blender should have a pretty nice learning curve and a lot of functions, but overall lack-cluster compared to 3ds Max in certain areas. I wont be making movies or pretty renderings, but in-game models for a few sandbox games, with textures, so don't know if Blender is better at that. Anyone got experience with both Blender and 3ds Max who can tell me if I miss out on some vital stuff? Won't be using this for anything work related, just fun, so I don't really want to spend the next 3 months learning how to make cubes, so like I said, if anyone can tell me weither to ditch 3ds Max for some easier stuff that does the same, OR can give me some guides that makes it look like I'm playing time-lapse videos on my screen in 3ds max, it would be really, really, really appreciated
