Double check your Windows calculator and make sure that it's in degree. Otherwise it might not calculate correctly.
Also search their website for a contact address but don't sweat it IMO, they probably wouldnt be able to trace back your WU and ditch it considering they receive TONS every day. Worse case just do a full format of your hard drive. |

Right there, like in the included pic. Make sure the calc is in scientific mode (View > Scientific). See if it still calculates correctly.

Give us the same math problem(s) you were trying to calculate and the same steps (in order) you were using that way we can see if we can reproduce the same errors.

If your PC isn't calculating numerical math correctly, odds are your system would be extremely unstable.
However, don't fear about the FAH data... Each WU is processed by several people to ensure consistent and accurate results. |

It is, it has to be for the data to be useful. If they just took one WU as fact and never double-checked, how could they ensure the data was accurate? The length of time for the client has nothing to do with the number of times a WU is processed by however many people. Watch your WUs, you will see you process the same one many, many times.

Yes, it would be foolish IMO to not have the same WU processed many times by different clients.

I'm certain I've read that the units are NOT put out to alot users.
The clients themselves do self checks at the start and while running. Hence the eues that crash clients. I'll see if i can dig up the ff.org thread its in. Edit Too hard to find, so I asked. But i believe its alot less than one thinks. Edit 2 Yup, I was correct, 1 user per wu. http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=14612 Last edited by PatonB : 05-17-2010 at 07:43 PM. |
