I meant PPD figures. But I guess in the screenshot above, it shows about the same.

I installed new bet driver 257.something just before doing the GPU3 install.

Results so far 3 minutes per frame in my GT240.
Not so good in the smaller cards like mine.

They said they may need to tweak the points on GPU3. People are reporting lower points on GPU3 than GPU2.

Based on Kevster's numbers, it appears the GTX 470 overclocked quite a bit folds as well as a GTX 480 with less power draw. Interestingly enough the numbers aren't nearly that close in games - the GTX 480 stomps the GTX 470 pretty well, more than I expected before the release of fermi.

Doing the math out:
My GTX 480:
1580*480 = 758400 combined MHz
kevster's 470:
1670*448 = 748160 combined MHz

So we have pretty similar processing power. The difference in games must be due to the ram.

I notice huge variations in GPU core load, I have no idea why, but temps remain the same.
The temps are 5 degrees lower than with the GPU2, so it may explain that the GPU is not fully used, resulting in slower frames.
P10626 reported 2700 PPD by FAHmon at this moment. This is less 1000 PPD in my average.

Weird, my GTX 480 is at 99% constant pretty much.

Well my PPD still say around 6k for my 9800 GTX but I think it still has an old core its working on because in fahmon it says GPUV2 Gromacs for the core... so I am not sure if it has done a new one yet.

And hard to tell if my 24hr average went up because it was 95 here today and the computer overheated and shut off lol silly summer

My computer has been crashing, once yesterday while at was at work, and again while I was asleep last night. It's either due to a stability issue or because of the 257.15 drivers (crashed on dxgmms1.sys).

I've been getting steady fold numbers for the first time in 2-3 months. Averaging 8K or so over the past few weeks and I'd hate to go back to unstable, unpredictable folding.

I have a 6600 Stock 2.4 Ghz running the SMP Taskbar client, and an 8800GTS clocked from 500 core 1200 shaders 800 Memory to 612 Core 1566 Shader 1008 Memory.

Any idea if I could do work faster on my card with the new client? Most of the posts I see are referencing newer cards.

I think GPU3 is actually slower for older cards right now.

Dunno my 250 GTS does constant 5.6k ppd on gpu3 client, but on gpu2 client would differ between 4.5k to 6k but mostly around 5k.
Downsides far as i can tell with this gpu3 client is more cpu hungry an is harder to make stable, a lot of the slow down comes from the built in error detection on looks of it.

Yes, it does seem to use more CPU.

But you may still be using the old WU's with a GPU3 client on the older cards, so it's hard to tell.

Well, I stated before that my GT240 had a 25% PPD loss with the new client, but actually I messed up with the CPU usage, therefore the slowdown.
I pushed a bit up the clocks to see how would compensate and Fahmon reads 3666 PPD, so looks just a 10 percent less. Temps are normal again (GPU 60șC load).
Will keep looking into it how it evolves.

An update on my power usage, I had a window fan on high plugged into the same conditioner that was giving me the wattage (forgot about it, lol). My power usage is actually only 420 watts, much more bearable than 530.

Additional Comment:

Wow I just got a WU from project 10627... I'm only getting 8400 PPD... 1:03 per frame!

err, scratch that, my card is running at 2d clocks!
