help with proper fittings/barbs etc

hey guys, please take a look at this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11..._Hot_Item.html

i want this block, but i have no clue which fittings to use, but i think i want to goto compression fittings using bitspower as the brand on that link above, they are the black ones. now, i guess i will be using 3/8" tubing, so which one(s) do i need ? what do u guys use for inside and outside diameter tubing sizes ? thanks

The threads are G1/4, so you could use anything from 1/4"ID to 1/2"ID. I think that generally motherboard cooling loops are either 1/4"ID or 3/8" ID.

If you are using for tubing in the rest of the loop? FrozenCPU has a great selection, but their prices can be high on some parts. You may want to look around a bit after you better decide what you need.

personally i wouldn't go any smaller then 3/8 ID. on mine I'm using 1/2 ID cooling mother board and CPU on one loop, then cards on the other loop. your fittings are going to be up to how you want to run your water lines. you can use these to connect the CPU out to the board in. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=28079
then for the CPU in and the board out use these http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=28078 the ones linked are for 1/2ID and 3/4OD. but if you don't go with that, just make sure those numbers match your fittings and hoses.

to get best flow and temps, use 3/8" ID to 1/2" ID

here is a video on fittings

when you use compression you must have exact fit not only on ID but also OD to avoid leaks; so we would need to know your exact tubing size (ID & OD) to recommend a particular fitting for you

here are some compression fittings to choose from; i like Bitspower brand

why not link to some you like and ask questions so members will answer and comment? good luck
