Well, certain ASUS computers do go hot, like the one my stepfather owns, but this must surely be wrong. The CPU would have turned off if it had reached that temperature. Also, the fan speed of 65k RPM is definitely wrong, unless you now have fragments of fan all over your house. Try measuring temps with a different program.

we need some specs here i mean are you oc'ed?, stock cooler?, how many case fans?, room ambients? (i.e. is it sitting right next to a radiator?)

that and i do not see 127C anywhere there your core temps are between 51c and 54c and you gpu is a 51c which are well with in spec

127C would be 260F give or take a degree your no where there

that and I7's can handle heat max tcase on your 2600k is 72.6 C and your far from it your at 54C, if you want colder temps think liquid

Download realtemp, Open and leave it on, play bf2, and come back out and tell us what was the max temp it touched.

Since it is 2^7 -1 and listed under 'MAX' I would assume it is the maximum temperature the sensor or the software is capable of reporting.

It SHOULD be the max temperature of said hardware component, since the program was launched.

Also, is that everest?

Specs don't matter. No desktop processor operates at those temps anyway. Either the OP is facing a bad sensor, or, as has been suggested, it is reporting its maximum operating range, though this would not explain why it is not reporting its minimum operating range.

Yes, you're reading the inaccurate motherboard reading of the CPU. For an accurate CPU reading, read the individual core temperatures listed under the name of your processor in HWMonitor.
