HDMI on DVI screen

OK i am splitting with my GF, shes getting the TV an i need some way of runing my PS3. i was thinking about using one of the spare ATi HDMI/DVI adapters to take the feed from the PS3 to the DVI on the screen.

can the adapters work this way or do i need something else to do it, or is it not gonna work.

thanks

That should work fine, assuming you mean you're going to run the PS3 directly the the screen.
