Lmao.... the problem was that you couldn't make a half-decent character in D2 without dealing massive damage, and since the base IM reflects something like 200% of damage that you deliver...

Oh, the memories... I remember having so much fun building a character whose sole purpose was to kill Hell Diablo in two hits in a full game. 37k damage charger paladin.

I'm going to buy D3, but I'm not too sure if I can have the same amount of fun as I did in D2... half of my fun was building pointless characters geared for something or other.

I remember re-rolling a barbarian to make the cold orb sorcs rage. Oh hey thanks fo refilling my health! (max resist + abosrption)

I think i had a Hydra sorc, cold orb soc and a thunder nova sorc with a ton of cast speed.

The only class i didn't like in D2 was the druid. Just couldn't get into it.

Yeah, druids were hard to use properly. Hurricane druids were easier than werewolf or werebear in PKs.

I never really did cookie cutter builds either... Man, frenzy barbs in pk duels were so much fun. And poison nova necro. And zealot sorc.

All this talk about D2 builds makes me want to go back and play, except that I'm pretty sure that most of my characters/accounts have expired and I'm not willing to waste tons of time to rebuild and refind/trade all the awesome gears.

I remember a buddy of mine had a druid with some absurd amount of life steal. Only character amongst our friends that solo-ed "Players 8" Ancients fight on Hell Mode. Granted that was before Patch 1.10. Can't remember what that patch did to nerf the character, but was a bad *** character.
