Andorid Tablet - which one?!

Ok - wanting a tablet - and was initially thinking Transformer Prime - though I hear they have issues.

Also - I hear that there are several new tablets coming to the market - any thoughts?

Ideally I want a larger tablet, so not the 7-inch variety.

Not too much of a brand wh@re, just something that gets the job done to be honest.

My suggestion would have been the ASUS Transformer Prime also, spec wise it's probably the best on the market at this time.

We have some Motorola Xooms at the office that are used on promotional events, they're pretty good but lack a little in graphics performance.

If you're put off by the ASUS Transformer Prime's current issues, I would personally go for the newest Samsung Galaxy Tab as an alternative.

What must the tablet be able to do? The Transformer has the optinal keypad, which makes it into a netbook, which is neat - if you like that, then the other alternative is the Acer Iconia W700, but that comes with Windows 7.

Anoter vote for the Transformer Prime if you have the cash. Overclock it to 1.6GHz and you will be blown away by how fast that quad core is. It's currently the record holder for benchmarks all across the board without many competitors coming close enough for Asus to even start to sweat.

I have a 32GB Transformer non-prime with a keyboard dock and it is amazing to say the least. I got mine as a refurb for $350 and the dock was another $100 on Ebay to replace my aging netbook. While I realize the Prime is obviously faster, the original Transformer is still a great tablet and if using it in netbook fashion is required like it was for me then there is no other choice.

I've been lucking at the asus eee pad slider looks pretty sick has the keyboard built in and slides up to a semi netbook setup, don't know how it compares on performance to the transformer though.

Just got myself a Transformer from tigerdirect for $249, so we'll see how it goes.

you should wait 3 months if money isn't an issue... there will be tegra 3 tablets with a higher resolution... they will be a pretty penny on launch as well...

To be honest I just want to use it to do light reading, maybe some browsing, but not game or anything else like that.

I have a decent gaming laptop and desktop for that!

Yeah I wasn't sure if they could read PDF, plus I like the larger screen.
