I think it's the poster that should have the plus or minuses not the thread, going on what I've read lately -1 would be good for the ego, the star system rarely used anyway, why would a +1 be any better, it's ok as it is.

The rep system only seems to work for a certain type of forum groups. Mostly I've found it to be rather useless.
I used to visit this forum that provided exploits for certain games that were unknown to the general public and the only way of reading those were to earn a high amount of rep & the amount of rep you were able to give out was limited to the number of years, +1 each year, you were a member of said forum. Worked very well for that site. I do not support this idea  .

+1 this idea maybe a minus too, to show bad info but atleast a plus. In being on this forum daily for a good year (Ithink) I have never rated a thread or looked at a thread rating (not saying its bad but...)
