you tried copying the FAH folder to a flash drive and sending them from a buddy's PC. I recall doing that for a few weeks when my internet at home was down several years back..

its worth a shot. which folder would i need to copy just the log file or the entire folder? would going from ubuntu to windows cause issues?

ive been contemplating switching my laptop to ubuntu so i may have to switch that to ubuntu load my results to an external and take my laptop somewhere i will get better speeds.

Hello Folders,

I have migrated back to this team after interest died at the team I setup for SimHQ..
I Fold with 2 eVGA 480GTX's and an Intel i5 2500K @ 4.5ghz.. so basically 2 GPU and 1 CPU folding on 1 PC.. Should boost the Teams overall contributions..

Hope to add to the Fold here..

not to discourage you or anything but that is gonna use an extreme amount of power(i found out the hard way running 2 gpu's and a cpu) my electric bill that month ended up being about 210 euro or roughly 250-275 dollars. and im the only one that lives here and i use lights and stuff sparingly. so basically i hope you live in a dorm room thanks for getting going though id expect you will net roughly 40k ppd maybe a bit more

well that is ok it is Only Money and besides if it may help some poor soul with a cure for cancer or something it has been worth the cost..

Who knows perhaps it may save me someday.. small price when you look at the bigger picture..

I did run 2 470's before and the bill was not too bad but it maybe a little more with these power hungry 480's..

I just started folding again recently, I should be putting out more ppd but for some reason I can't get any WU for my 5750s. I know they aren't super powerful but I figured they could help... Still trying to figure out what the issue is....

dont hold me to this but i dont believe the older amd's are very well supported for folding. mostly just nvidia and the new/powerful amd cards are ie 7000 series and high end 6000 series... like i said though im not positive i just havent heard of many people folding with ati's

well it's either that or my 8600gts, and I don't think that would help much.

How would a 9800GTX+ fair? My brother has one of those and I could most likely trade him for a 5750.

4K or so at this point is my guess... not really sure though.

I get about 5800 PPD on my overclocked 9800 GT. Since it has a few more cuda cores, it should get a little more than mine if the clocks are about the same.
