He is on T-mobile and I'm going to let him wait for ICS.

Additional Comment:

It turns out that he is unhappy with his purchase because the galaxy didn't come with HTC Sense 3.0... Uh derp.

I decided to find a copy cat in the market and came across 360 Launcher Sense. It actually runs better than the stock launcher and allows for a lot of customization.

I highly recommend it and at the moment I'm actually trying to figure out how to donate to the developers. It appears that the developers are Chinese and all of the 360SAFE applications are free so that probably isn't going to happen.

if she isn't going to do anything that actually requires root, then i see no point in doing it... android is pretty lax about customizing as it is...

Uploading nude videos is entirely possible without rooting.

My A500 is now rocking ICS! Now if Rogers can get around to getting ICS out for my GS2 I'd be very happy.

I was running Kangs varients up to alpha 18 i think. I think he is up to revision 24 or 25 now but I expect the new phone in a week and a half so no reason to keep messing with that.

Well just retired my Incredible for a Rezound (Vigor) from HTC, so far I'm impressed! Super solid feel, 1GB RAM, 1.5gHz Dual Core CPU, 4.3" HD screen, 16GB Card, 12GB onboard, and beats audio (although I'm doubtful about the audio bit, as I see it as just marketing). I'm trying to dig through a ton of crap with how to root this d*mn thing though, looks like things got a lot more complex over the past couple years

Just be happy you didn't buy something that has 'motorola' on it

Talk about a PITA to root/bootstrap

Am a very happy Galaxy Note owner.

Went through an iteration of iPad, iphone, tab 7 to find the perfect fit for me and this little 5.3" marvel is my companion.

wanted a single device (fed up carrying phones and tabs in the car) as I sit in my cab all night and like to read/watch the odd film.

Just got the official ICS update and its even snappier.

Retail unlocked Galaxy Note white 16GB + 32GB MicroSD
Stock everything + stock ICS
main apps used: Bank app, kindle, MX player, Teamspeak remote, ES File Explorer, and of course those bloody birds!

* the samsung flip cover is awesome too as it fit flush and doesn't make the whole package any fatter

I picked up a HTC one x yesterday and I have to say that even compared to my droid x ( which wasn't slow by any means) thus thing is unbelievably fast and silly smooth. Rooted, unlocked, deodexed and put a new Rom on it last night. the screen on this is just amazing, my buddy whom has had a fascinate, galaxy nex, and two galaxy s phones including a 3 was even drooling over it. not to mention the camera is awesome
