So your monitor clicks even when the power cord is disconnected?
It's most likely not the monitor clicking then, but something behind it? |

It's definitely the monitor, I set it in another room to be sure. Its so annoying I think I'm going to get another monitor. What would a be a good 23" ips monitor?

The Dell ones would be the best, I think. You can get cheaper IPS screens (talking sub-$200) but I dont think performance is great.

Yep, I almost bought one, but waited and bought one of the korean 27" IPS screens. Couldnt be happier. The Dell was the second/budget pick in my list however. Justmake sure it's an IPS model... I cant remember the model name by heart.

Do ALOT of reading before pulling the trigger. I picked this specific monitor only because of the price (cheapest of all). The OP of that thread has a link to the OCN thread with alot of discussion going about these monitors. You give up alot of features (like the OSD, you only have dual-link DVI, my model has no speakers, cheap stand but VESA-compatible, etc) and get an increase in risk of getting a screen with defects (due to the unit traveling the whole planet or so, and the panels being "reject"/A- batches from Apple and Dell monitors) but the quality of the screen is worth it IMO. I almost bought one of the Dell IPS panels but settled with one of the Korean panels at the last minute because I wanted something bigger, and I didnt need HDMI or anything else. |
