@ stock? Yeah, that's way too hot. While the 212 isn't beefy, it should get way better stock temperatures. I'd re-apply thermal paste and mount the HSF again.

It's better than nothing and honestly, if that's all you got I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure it's not too thick.

It might be high but with ambient at 27c it's not outrageous.I get mid 60s with ambient about 20-3c at 4.4Ghz.What voltage are you pushing through it just on auto? The stock paste isn't too bad.Turbo enabled?

I've got around 29c ambient for 45c idle with a zalman cnps9500 hsf, when the a/c comes on, my temps are much happier. Your cooler master hyper 212 hsf is definately better than mine, so your 40c idle sounds about right, but as mentioned, your load temp is way high.... my cpu hits around 70c loaded with p95, around 60c when playing games.
Either you need to reapply that thermo compound correctly, change it to a better brand or your lack of case cooling is severly restrictive... if you set everything in your BIOS to auto, you shouldnt be having this temp problem. |
