Looking for a big case... but cheap

I have been using the same computer case since 2001.... The Jupitor by Skyhawk... they aren't even in existence anymore. Anyone remember when this style of case was fairly popular?

Well... it's way too **** small. I have two HDD, a blu-ray burner, dvd burner and a SSD... paired with a full size graphics card (HD 5870) anytime I need to stuff my hands in there to hook up a drive to pull some data off or something I get pretty ****ed off at how long such a simple task takes...

I while back when I bought the 5870 from some fat guy (no offense to fat people, this guy was like 600lbs+) who had some corsair case that was MASSIVE. he had two graphics cards and i have no idea how many hard drives with TONS of space to spare. I looked it up that day but it was like a $250 case...

Newegg seems to have next to nothing in terms of huge cases and I really don't know where to look or what to look for. Is it common to have built in SD card readers now? esata? USB 3? I would like to spend around $100 but if someone can blow my mind on a case that I can use for another 10 years-12 years I don't think I would mind spending a little more if I wait a month or so.

/super long post for a fairly easy issue

USB 3 & eSata are more common on cases these days... you usually pay more for cases with card readers etc.

The massive Corsair case the fat guy had was probably an Obsidian 700D (discontinued) or 800D... I have an 800D (see sig), they're awesome, but expensive

Check out Coolermaster for cases... they're usually very reasonably priced and you get a lot of nice features for your money. Styling isn't to everyone's taste though.

Additional Comment:

Full Tower Cases @ theegg
Coolermaster HAF 932 - $129.99 with rebate

How do these huge cases do in terms of sound? Right now I am using a vantec tornado 80mm just to keep everything cool... are 120mm fans more quiet? I it would be nice to not have a computer that sounds like a vacuum cleaner

Additional Comment:

oh and are the full tower cases really that big? I guess now that I look at dimeinsions they are bigger than I thought, I figured the huge 700D that guy had was an ATX super tower

120s are worlds more quiet than 80s. 140s are even more silent.

in my cm690 i have 5 120s, the only thing that i can hear is the fans on my gtx260s.

I have this case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103042

It's surprisingly not that loud at all and there are three touch button fan controls. It has an external USB 3.0 port in the front as well as eSATA.

It's huge and roomy and very, very well put together. I love it.

If you want the same case without the fans: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103043

HOWEVER, be aware, you will have to switch two of the fans from the inside of the side panel to the outside if you want to fit a Corsair AIO cooler like the H80.

i went ahead and ordered the antec last night along with two antec 120mm adjustable case fans and a 33cm psu extensions (pretty sure I will need it with the bottom mounted PSU).

Total: $110 after a $10 off $100 coupon AND I still have a $25 MIR for the case and $5 MIR for the fans.

I have absolutely no regrets from buying my Corsair 600T. Tons of room and was around $150.

If you go to the antec website they sell B-stock cases, I have bought 2 of them and there was nothing wrong with either. The 902 is 51 bucks there. they have others as well.

super mid tower isnt what id call a "super" case. I got a corsair 300R that i like a lot. Antec P280 thats baller, and an NZXT Phantom. The full towers are bigger, but also heavier.

If i was doing it all over again, id go with the antec P280. its not as flashy but it looks "classy" to me. inside its a pleasure to work on.

it's not the biggest thing in the world, but its huge in comparison to my last case. My goal was to get my large fingers into it without knocking other stuff around. Goal achieved. I can also fit my HDDs in sideways and my ssd has a designated slot that doesn't require an adapter plate. I love it so far

My Corsair 500R is not huge, but it fits all the hardware in my sig with room to spare. Also cable management on this case is a breeze, and even with the fans on high it's still fairly quiet.

I got rid of my 900. Way too small IMO now-a-days. That and cable management in it is tough.

Many of the other cases mentioned here are probably better for his needs.
