Asrock 990FX Extreme 3 NB/SB/Voltage Settings
That is my motherboard and i am trying to figure out if my voltages are leading me to in-stability. I am having a RAM error but am also trying to figure out if there is a problem with my voltages. I was getting crasshes with all the voltages left on auto, with the exception of the vcore/ram voltage, but with the ones in the pictures it is more stable. Does anyone think any of them look way too high or low for just a stock speed on everything in sig? |

Cpu voltage looks low, Ram voltage is high, but the rest looks fine to me.
This would make more sense if we had more specs. What Cpu? |

Its specs in sig. The ram is spec'd for 1.65v and i had errors at everything so i bumped it up to try to avoid crashes since i need to RMA it anyways.
The cpu is running at stock, and is Intel Burn Test stable at that voltage. I am more concerned with the other voltages that i took off auto and moved manually to those settings, i don't want to set them too high/low AMD PII 965 BE, Asrock 990FX Extreme 3, XFX AMD Double D HD 6870 1G Corsair HX-520 PSU8 GB (2x4GB) Corsair XMS 2 - DDR3-1600 C9 @ 1.65v WD Black 640 GB WD6401AALS, Hyper 212+, Antec 300 Case, Sound Blaster X-Fi, Logitech X-230 2.1, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Do the VDDA voltages need to be moved at all? |

They could be left on auto considering your not over clocking.
Your stability problem is your Ram. What speed are you trying to run the Ram? 1600?? or OC'ed beyond this? |

My Corsair RAM is set up to stock everything except the voltage bump to try to mitigate the error i was getting. I tried every increment from 1.650-1.70 but still get this lonely single error after hours.
I also have a borrowed kit of RAM here Patriot PDC34F1600LLK that i can not get to work either. I think this board is picky. The Patriot kit is DDR3-1600 CAS-7 @ 1.9v and i set everything to JDEC spec in BIOS manually and it passed memtest+ overnight but it crashes in windows within minutes to a hard lockup. Not sure about that... I am really thinking its the board from my experience. Either way i need to get another set of RAM so i can return the Corsair, or test the Corsair in another board. |

(Sounds like a driver issue) - ** Also have had DVD roms do strange things as well. (Hoping it's not a hardware issue, cause it doesn't sound like one) |

I know this seems like a silly question but I just have to ask it. Do you have your sticks installed in the right ram slots? I was reading the manual for your board and it seems that they have to be installed in specific order so I was just wondering.
DDR3_A1 slot and DDR3_B1 slot is one channel. DDR3_A2 slot and DDR3_B2 slot is second channel. |

Yes i am putting the sticks in the right channel. I am using A1 and B1
And the OS has been installed for over 1 year with no major changes recently. It is working fine with the Corsair other than the error i get in memetest now, with the patriot failing ever so often in windows. With the patriot all set up at stock settings i did intel burn test 15 passes no problem, but then i started surfing the web and locked up. |

Possibly cpu degradation?? You know the ropes of everything else just about.
Try a new fresh clean install and update it on another drive. Run some virus scanners on the old drive. And pretty much outa ideas beyond that. |

Im out of ideas too. The CPU is almost brand new and has never been overclocked for more than a few minutes and has pretty much been undervolted too.
I have a new stick of RAM i borrowed in it now, but it still took a lot of trys with the settings to boot itup. |
