1000 V Strom is the big one (biggun)

Additional Comment:

But you're right...the primary header pipe looks smaller than the 1k.

But the Big Strom was on my short list.

4 bikes...
R1200GS Adventure
MS1200S Touring
DL1000
Yamaha Super Tenere

Yamaha and Suzuki dealers couldn't even get one of each to see in person (I had seen em before obviously)
BMW dealer is 1.5 hours away while the Duc dealer is local and a good friend.
It helped that they were also willing to throw in things like gear and the top box to sweeten the deal.

Welp...got a call from my buddy Randy in Denver who I told long long ago to give me dibs on his 996SPS is he ever decided to sell it.

He says he is thinking of thinning the herd. He has 6 Ducatis but this is by far his nicest.

So now I need to decide if I want this or the 748S track bike I was looking at.
The 996SPS is my dream bike. As in the bike I would display in my living room if I ever owned one. This one has all of about 1800 miles on it and is in literally showroom condition. But I will ride it rarely if at all.

The 748S on the other hand will get Infostrada skins and then have the living snot flogged out of it every chance I could get.

The Multi is now and will be my daily bike for some time to come...but now I want to sell my soul and buy this...

Because unlike the 748S, the 996SPS has gained about 17% in value over the last 2 years while the economy has been in the ****ter. Investment vs. toy.

1978 PE 175 (I stole it from my dad) I still trail it, but it needs so much work. Basically fire it up now and again and do some straight line hauls with it. bringing all 6 gears into the 9k range on bad shocks and bad tires on sand is very white knuckleish.

1986 Husqvarna WR 250
It's street ready, still doing paper paper work. Her and I are still disagreeing with each other. She only likes to run for about a minute then just dies... (Carbs and me are worlds apart). Also F*** left hand kickers, I have to stand on a pit stand to get it started. I'll get a better picture one day.

Not as crazy as Transnone13 and ZLTFUL, but still fun nevertheless! I have the blue one.

I agree. Vtwin is the way to go, although my next bike (2-3 years from now) will be a MV Augusta F4RR or BMWS1000RR HP4.

New pic of it in it's natural habitat.

a blurry pic of my fatass riding it

Still needs carb tuning and the shifter return spring broke I think or whatever it is in there... if you up shift. It will shift gears, but the shifter will stay locked in that position, so you have to tap it down slightly to be able to up shift again. Ghetto...

Additional Comment:

Side note, bel ray 2 stroke mix is awesome! 1 bottle = 5 gallon can. Such a low smoke trail too. Once it was warmed up it wasn't even noticiable that it was a 2 stroke... Oil has come a long way. I want to try this stuff on the Suzi, since the lucas mix we ran on that leaves a bigger trail than the Exon Valdez did.

Additional Comment:

I'm also looking forward to testing a Ninja 300!
