There really isn't any 'beating' of the game. It goes on and on...I have around 900+ hours in that game and didn't do everything including the expansions. I have all those hours in the main game.

I played swtor for a month or so. I actually enjoyed it but even when I played the server was quite dead.

If they have a list of 20 pre-determined servers that people can transfer to then that sounds like those will be the twenty servers they keep if or when they do merge. Thats makes sense to me anyway.

If I had a choice of playing one or the other (Rift Vs Tor) I'd most likely play TOR. I found it more entertaining though I have a lot more time in RIFT.

I'm in beta for GW2 and it does rock way more than TOR or Rift. Im also in the "the Secret World' beta and its okay but it needs loads and loads of polish.

The initial cost is what I'm talking about.
I paid 45 pounds for that game. All my spare money *poof*.
I really like it though...the 1.0.3 patch has made it a bit unplayable for me. I really hope this f2p thing goes through ....maybe I'll get to meet some of my old SWG friends from EU-Farstar over there..

Gw1 wasn't f2p. It was b2p. You pay for the box and that's it. F2p means no paying at all, you can make an account and play once you download the game.

If anyone likes Guild Wars you may also like Secret World. It uses the same premise as Guild Wars. Limited selection of abilities, change them at any point.

However, you can be anything you want without having to start over. So you can have a character that literally fills ALL the class roles and can literally do everything.

SW:Tor was one of the best RPGs I've played in a while, it was also the worst MMO. Once I hit 50 the game flatlined for me.

I played the beta this weekend looks promising. I like the inbuilt videos for tutorial that you can go in and review at anytime.
