I'm trying to avoid all the spoilers of the Extended Cut in hope that I do actually feel happier once I play through it but I don't hold much hope.

I really do hope I am wrong and Bioware have done a good job.

I wont bother playing the game again, I will just watch the new endings on youtube. The game is so lackluster and missing so much that made the franchise great that there is just no point in playing it again .

Bioware are recommending to play from the beginning of the Cerberus base mission to the end to get the full experience of the new ending cinematics etc... I will play it again because it is free and I think I owe it to Bioware because at least they made an effort to fix at least one element of their short comings with ME3.

Ill be interested in seeing these endings, I will do as Bioware suggests and play through the last mission again to see the ending. If it is sufficiently different enough then I may play through again to see the others. If not Ill just youtube them.

Even with the mess they made of the endings Mass Effect has still easily been the best game series ever made. It completely blows things like Halo and GOW out of the water.

This is a compromise. I'll take my good byes and that'll be that. We'll have to move on. The reality is now that the ending sucked hard. No more amount of crying will change that. We'll have to get our jollies from fan fictions. Yes it upsets me, but If this epilouge **** has any kind of decent L/I crap or expands on the 5000+ EMS Sheppard 'alive' scene I think I'll be able to be satisfied.

I keep playing it for two reasons;

Finally trying to beat insanity in ME3
Text mod updated textures.

Other than that I use the space-bar frequently. The dialog is un-interesting at this point.

Haha, what with EA's plummeting stock of late, I am surprised to see that it is free.

Possible turn of Bioware back to the good ole days?

If it were not free... the whole situation would have evolved into the mother load of ****-storms.

as for a turnaround? Doubtful. Bioware under the EA empire will end up like Maxis and the rest of them sooner or later.

You want Bioware from the goodole days? Look to overhaul games (former Bioware employees)

The are making a killing on the MTX featrue in multiplayer, they hit the 30 day goal for MTX in less than 10 days and continue to clean house with those weapon packs in multiplayer. I'm sure they are doing excellent even though EA is suffering

I agree, it is a great series and I did like ME3 up until the endings with the exception of the limited dialogue with the squadmates and the lack of interaction with squadmates from ME2.

I think I'll play through ME3 one final time from start to end when the new endings are released... @ 1.9GB download, they 'should' be substantial.

I wouldn't count on it being more than 5 minutes of content 1.9gb is for every permutation.
