Not really. Plenty of people do fine with those setups. Only highly texture modded stuff with tons of AA which isnt need at that res would use up 2-3GB of vram.

It'll ship with a korean socket cable - but it you have a standard US power cable that plugs into any PSU it'll work, just plug and play.

Well - now that you say it - my memory says you are indeed correct - the power cable I was talking about connects to that power brick, though it's the same connection.

And good luck! Seems nobody wants the older monitors now given the rise of the cheap 27's!

If you were closer to CA mate I'd offer to buy them for the office here - but shipping etc would just make it redundant they're that cheap these days.

Have you had any luck on Craigslist?

FYI for anyone interested, the Catleap Q270 uses about 80-90 watts @ the plug. Finally hooked up the kill-a-watt to it.

What is the usage with the monitor on vs. off? Or is it about the same? Does it pull vampire power?

I am monitoring something else now, but if I remember correctly with the unit off it was at about 1.4 watts.

If anyone has missed it, MicroCenter now carries an Auria 27in IPS LED 2560x1440 glossy monitor, with speakers, HDMI, DP, VGA, DVI for $399. I like it better then the Catleap, and it has calibration settings.
