now can not connect to any website
UPDATE: So I got rid of MACAFEE (or however you spell it). Turned off all security options to see if I can even get on. Well, I got it to where vista says I have local and internet. So go on internet explorer and type in google. I get an error HTTP 404 not found. Tried a few more times with different websites to no avail. So then I pinged google and I get response. So now I am at a loss lol Any suggestions? Last edited by pckid9234 : 06-21-2012 at 09:37 AM. Reason: new problem |

IE?
Tools -> Internet Options -> Connection -> LAN options See if there's anything setup, like a proxy or something. Also check with cmd to see if you really do have access to internet -- ping google and see if you get a response. |

If it still happens in chrome, then it's either:
1. Your NIC is going out 2. Your router Check that out. |
