My temps are staying pretty fair. The hot core has hit 61 degrees but that was an hour into prime95 and it dropped right back to 58 and stayed there. I have 2910 mhz stable it seems and the temps, while a bit warm are acceptable to me.

I hit 65380 3dmarks. http://3dmark.com/3dm03/6472995 the temp running 3dmark was 52.

I have OCZ platinums that are rated at 2.8 volts and that is where the voltage is set. I have the case side panel off and this case is loaded with fans.

Additional Comment:

3dmark is reading my OC all wrong. I figure they are a bit stuffed in the head.

Well according to this http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD...185CDBOX).html

the max operating temp is 65c at the Cpu. For some reason, Cpu manufacturers don't list max temp for what a core should hit. Personally, I'd keep it under the 65c Cpu temp and the Cpu temp will consequently be lower.

Happy 4th BTW!!

Thanks ShrimpBrime. Went to my brothers and tipped a few yesterday. I can probably go a little higher with this chip. I do know it will run 3 ghz but it does start getting hotter than hell.

To be honest this rig is fine for most of what I do anymore. I could have skipped two builds for the most part. I still love my 2500k but it is so easy to OC that this makes me feel like I have accomplished something. I will eventually put it away but I figure to play with it for a few more days. The new click bios is great but it leaves a guy feeling like he didn't really do the overclock.
