A couple more questions....

I want to buy an SSD for my OS and apps, games, etc. How many gigs should I get?

Should I just try to sell everything (even everything from my old system)off using EBay and the forums and buy everything new? (Witch doctor suggested this but I didn't know if he meant selling the old parts.

I'd go for a 256 if you can afford it, if not, 128.

Today there was a sale on at NewEgg on the Samsung 830 256 for $189 - you'll find Crucial M4's for around the same, possibly a touch cheaper when they're on sale.

They've been on sale every other day depending on retailer - so wait till it hits a price you're happy with and go for it.

A 128 is easily dooable to - though in both cases I'm assuming you have a 1T or 2T mechanical for all your media and other things you don't need SSD speeds for.

I'm thinking about a 128...I won't have too many games or programs on it. And I'm also planning on buying a 1/2 TB drive as a storage drive.

Additional Comment:

Actually....if any of you read this, I have a new idea.

I'm thinking of either selling the 2 i5-3550S's or the i7-2600 so that I only have a 3550S or 2600 left. I'll also keep the micro-atx motherboard but sell the itx one. I figure that its pretty easy to switch a processor and motherboard out, so I'll just do that sometime down the road. I've been without a computer for about a month now and trust me, its not fun. So besides keeping the CPU and motherboard I'm gonna upgrade the video card to (probably) a gtx 670, ram to 16 gigs 1600, and I should be set for a while. Besides, the i5 IB or i7 SB are going to be leaps and bounds from the dual core PII I had before.

One last question: Which should I keep: an i5-3550S or an i7-2600? I'm interested in gaming, word processing, and internet/YouTube browsing. Thanks for the help, all of you.

I would say the i7, since it has the slightly higher clocks, you cant oc either one, and you have them both anyway.
