Here's hoping the net code is worth-while (for fighters it's usually not good enough for serious play). I'd like to show the EOCF crowd how we really get down.
Additional Comment: Release date is set for 9-11. For those of you into "eSports", TTT2 WILL be picked up by MLG upon release. If people are interested, I'll start dropping info on tiers and what's changed between t6 and TTT2. Additional Comment: I've received confirmation that the netcode in TTT2 is amazing. Throws can be broken on reaction (if you're actually THAT good), slow lows can be blocked/parried without issue, hop-kicks can be punished consistently... It's got fighting game of the year written all over it. Last edited by Dil-tech : 07-30-2012 at 01:26 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Loved the first one. Just got an arcade stick recently, so, I might be up for this one. Gotta see how I balance the class load. I don't want to get sucked into a game and screw up my first semester of college...
There is an arcade that does tournaments that is about 3 hours away I'm sure they'll host this game. Might be a chance to make some $$$! Or just be part of some competition. |

I did love the actual level designs though, but the game itself just had too many quirks. Tekken 5 was much better except for a few characters being WTF strong, while T5: DR fixed most of that problem (DJ, Hehachi, Kaz, Julia, and Bryan were STILL insane though). T6: BR (the game that was released as T6 on console) was actually really well done balance wise. A few characters WERE better than the rest of the cast, but no one was so far ahead that they couldn't be defeated by the weaker characters. The only part that really made you wonder WTF? was Bryan's Taunt at wall. After his wall combo, he could quick dash~taunt, and if you tech rolled the taunt would hit as you stand up, giving him a free b+4, Jet upper into another full wall combo for guaranteed death. Very few players were capable of doing this, but if your opponent could you were pretty much dead if you hit a wall at any point in the fight. Quote:
As for tournaments, TTT2 is pretty much looking to be the revival of the scene for non-2d fighters. There is a LOT to learn to play this one competitively; it's FAR harder than any 2d fighter to actually get a grasp of since Tekken characters take a LONG time to master. The characters themselves are extremely balanced as well, the only characters placement that everyone can agree on is that DJ, Kaz, and Hei are the top 3 characters due to the monstrosity that is the EWGF. |

I'm just going to go ahead and say it...
TTT2 is AMAZING! Been playing it and WOW. The netcode is probably the best seen in a fighting game yet as well. 4-5 bar connections is about as close to perfect as you're going to get using the internet. Throws can be broken on reaction, you won't find yourself randomly dropping combos, it's just that good. Additional Comment: Anddddd the game has officially released. GO GET THAT ****! It's definitely the best tekken to date, and arguably the deepest fighter out there (although VF5: FS puts up a good argument). If you like fighters at all, this is a must have.
Also, for people who like to try and make money off of their gaming, MLG has picked up TTT2. They're throwing $15k at the game at MLG Dallas! |
