Programming Class Question

I am currently looking at certificate programs through two different schools for getting one of their programming certificates.

My goals for this is:
Tax credit
Learning a new Language (s)
Fill me in until restructuring settles at work and I can apply for Tuition assistance on a Masters in Finance.

The programs
Surry Community College Programming Certificate - This program is much more robust since you get directly to programming. It is a bit more inconvenient for registration since its over 1.5 hours away and I would have to drive there.

Forsyth Technical College - ASP Programming Certificate - This program is a bit broader and I would take C# and Visual Basic classes both semesters. I can register online with this school as I have taken classes here before. I would have to take the intro class since it wasn't required at the time I took Java at another local college. It is now required to complete in this state.

Please vote and input the reason why you would pick one over the other.

My current background in programming/scripting/markup is: Java, Fortran95, JavaScript, some Python, and HTML/XML/CSS. I want a structured class, so don't suggest learning it on my own. I do not have the personal drive to learn this on my own time as fast as I would in a class setting.

I think you'd be wasting your time at community college level programming classes, since you probably know the basics, and that's what they'd teach you.

Are there any 4 year universities near you that have a continuing education program?

There is no certificate or continuing ed that is online based in the local Uni's that relates to programming or any field I would like.

Additional Comment:

I just followed up with my school of interest with MAcc. It seems I can start the prerequisite classes for an MAcc prior to full acceptance, so I am going with that.

That sounds like a great idea. Probably going to pay out the *** for tuition until the company pays for it?

The school has an option for Tuition reimbursement programs, so I do not get billed for the classes till the end of the semester. The program is 395 a credit hour, so it isn't an unreasonable cost. (around $15,500 sans books)

The program for me will be 30 hours for the MAcc, but I need 9 hours of prerequisites before I can start the program. I will take 2 classes this fall and follow it with 1 prerequisite and 1 masters class in the spring.

My company pays up to $2500, per year, so about half of the degree will be out of pocket if i can span it over 3 years. I am hoping for some tuition assistance since I am single, but my current income may cripple what I can receive.

The good news about the MAcc is that it is a prep for the CPA exam, so if I can pass the certification I shouldn't have any issue with advancement at my current company (Lowe's Companies) or any company for that matter.
