how much faster is this then a 2600k?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115229 im curious because i had a 2600k but my motherboard took a crap and killed the cpu along with it so wondering if i should just go 2600k again or that? thanks

Not much of a performance difference and the 2600k overclocks better.

About 10-15%. Its not a whole lot faster. The 2600 overclocks better too. PM sent btw.

Actually technically the 2500k is a good alternative, overclocks very well and saves you a few bucks

Well I may be slightly bias lol. But I think the 2600k is better if your looking to overclock.

They really are neck and neck, and HT is not an issue. If the OP is on a budget its just an idea to save a few bucks.

for what i do yes it is, for stuff like video encodeing and stuff the hyper threading does make the 2600k alot faster for those things

So are you getting your mobo replaced or buying a new one? If new then consider ivy bridge. If not just stick with the 2600k as it's probably got the most happy customers of any CPU at the moment haha.
