This Possible?
On a wim, I just tried to OC my cpu. Its an E8500 E0 45n. I just put the multiplier on 9.5 and the fsb on 425. Left everything else on auto exept the pcie freq., set that to 100. Voltages all on auto, no changes to ram, nothing, and prime 95 is still going for 18 hrs. 9.5 x 425, So im getting around 4.0ghz. The chip was 3.0 or 3.1 stock. My question is can i leave it like this or must i change the voltages or ram timings/volts, etc...?, Thanks, Van |

If your temps(coretemp or realtemp to check) are ok, I dont see why you cant leave it like that. It appears to be stable.

Nice overclock! If prime didn't crash then you don't need to raise voltages. What are your temps?
