XFX 7950 GT eXtreme video cards

I just pulled out my old rig and fired it up. I just installed windows 7 ultamate on it. Where can I get the drivers for this video card to run on windows 7 and I also installed a second 7950 as well so I would like to run it in sli. I searched the website but cant find it. I dont even know if its possible. Help please.

Open nVidia control panel, click Set SLI and Physx Configuration, and then click Maximize 3D performance.

I would recommend going into the 3D settings dropdown menu and selecting "show SLI visual indicator". Run a game for a few minutes to ensure that your cards are working well together and then deselect it.

Hey Carozzeria, no where in the nvidia control panel does it give me the option to set the sli and physz configuration. I can provide a snapshot of my control panel if needed.

Download GPU-Z and see if it shows both cards installed.

It was mentioned in one of his other posts. I have pretty good retention with the 3 brain cells I have left.

Well it shows in the drop down box below a second card but they dont have the same bios version. One says 5.71.22.42.87 and the other one says 5.71.22.42.86. I dont know if that mean anything and I also see the default clock on one is 570 and the other is 550.

Run a benchmark and compare you scores to single card and sli scores on the Web

Try 3dmark 05/06

I have posted a benchmark if you couldn't find one showing the scores of both the single and dual card setup so you can compare to see for yourself.

Are you just concerned that the SLI isnt activated? The test should rule it out.

For processor comparison here is what they tested with.
  • Motherboard Asus P5N32 SE SLI Deluxe/asus P5W-DH Deluxe
  • Processor INTEL Core 2 Extreme 6800,
  • 2x1 G Corsair Twin2X 6400 C3,
  • Hard disk Western DIGITAL Raptor 150 G
