MSI Z77 MPower
MSI Z77 MPOWER testing by TGE I have been testing this board a few days and I am definitely impressed with it. At $220 USD I think it its a absolutely a great bargain for the features and quality that it exhibits during my tests. I will be testing this board throughout the next couple of weeks so I will be updating this often. Be sure to check back as I plan to test with some different CPUs and memory sets as well as push it even more with some tweaking on the tests as well So Stay tune and check back often About the MSI Z77 MPOWER Galleries for your ease of viewing Motherboard BIOS Up to date Results The Board ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The BIOS due to pic limit see link at top of page Testing Results (to be updated with best scores over the next few weeks) Super Pi 32m @ 4.99GHz ![]() wPrime 32m and 1024m @ 5GHz ![]() Hexus PiFast @ 5GHz ![]() Hyper Pi 32m @ 4.9GHz ![]() Last edited by TheGoatEater : 08-31-2012 at 02:20 PM. |

I will be testing this week
![]() For now a nice gallery can be seen Here - I hope you like it a bit better than the standard 30 feet of forum scrolling lol ![]() Additional Comment: its definitely a nice board with a great feature set, I will be posting more tomorrow after nda lifts Additional Comment: with NDA lifted I still am getting some stuff put together, but I want to leave you with a nice sub 5 super pi 32m screen shot. I will be making this write up and review in segments so I can take time to focus on different things as I have only had a limited time with the board (though I love it) ![]() Additional Comment: newegg has this board for only $210 w/ a free 8GB kit of RAM - great deal *link* Last edited by TheGoatEater : 09-09-2012 at 11:58 PM. Can you tell me what cooler you used and what memory?
This board looks really great, I wonder why there are so few reviews at Newegg for it? (only 10) I also wonder why it only has 2 SATA 6Gb/s connections? But that can be rectified with an add-on card. |

Nice, I was looking at this board hard, but ultimately went with the MVG
Will you be going sub ambient? I would love to see how this board does for competitive benching and how it handles memory. Subscribed |

What does sub-ambient mean? Air-Conditioned air blowing into the case?
The MVG seems like a nice board, but it is just too small for my Full Tower Antec 1200 case .The MVG is also very limited on connections. I wish there was a full ATX version around $200, but the V Formula is $300.... |

Sorry for the lapse here - I never got the e-mails for the subscription of this thread. The cooler was a Cooler Master Hyper 212 I think ( $30~ ) as I like to show what an generally common setup would be like. The memory used is G.Skill Hynix based RAM rated at 2133 9-11-10-28 1.65v. Thanks for the comments on the pictures, I tried lol. I will say that this board is liked a lot by all that use it including extreme overclockers. As for the cost to performance/features is insanely great. This board has been used to set world records (hwbot/verified) like the 3DMark11 single GPU Performance bench.
