Yeh screen real estate is very useful for such things like software development or photoshopping etc, software that have a lot of menu's that need to be open which take up space but for facebook surfing and word processing etc I can see pckid9234's point.

I don't leave my rig on 24/7 as it's watercooled and I'm paranoid that it could leak whilst I'm out of the house... it's been running for over a year with no leaks but like I said, paranoid.

Will try smp:8 with no GPU's tonight to see if my predicted PPD is higher.

Additional Comment:

When I upgrade my rig when Haswell launches I'll change this rig into a dedicated folding rig (aircooled) so I can leave it on all the time without the paranoia of a leak occuring when I'm not at home.
So I tried smp:8 with no GPU, PPD was predicted @ roughly 22K.

So I tried both 5870's and smp:4... this is the PPD:

30K ppd vs 22K ppd... might want to take into account the watts consumed by those 5870's.
