QRB is out on beta for both AMD and NV, it's a unified core 17, on open CL - that means that AMD now outshines NV in a very big way

a 7970 is almost double the ppd of a 680 - the 680 is now producing high 20's K ppd the 7970 high 40's k ppd

The 5 series is also out performing the 6 series by a lot

a 570 is about 38k ppd

a 670 is about 27k ppd

both overclocked of course

Yep... poor optimization. My PPD on my 670 is way down, especially when I pause for an hour or two for gaming.

My 7950 does around 28k PPD. It won't go above 93% GPU usage when the CPU is folding though, which is kinda disappointing, but oh well. It also does these random spikes down to 20% usage or so for a second and then back to 90-93%.

I read some people that said you need to reserve a core/thread for the GPU.

My 570 with an overclock is about 38k ppd much more than my 670 by up to 15k ppd

i get the random jigsaw stuff on both of my NV GPU's as well

I tried that and didn't notice any difference besides losing some PPD from the CPU.

I know I used to have to tweak some environment variables with my 3870 & 3870x2 to get 99% gpu usage. but I have no idea if that is still needed or will help.

Using the 13.2 beta 7 drivers for the 7950, I can get 97-98% usage now. Pushing 37k PPD out of the card now.

That's not bad at all more than my 670 or 570 (the 570 is faster than the 670 )

Not sure what a 'QRB' is, but your climb in production, combined with my drop has place johnerz on my radar to overtake me in under two weeks! It's great to see an "old" acquaintance in the neighborhood. Getting +300K points out of 1 or 2 WUs is somewhat of a mystery to me...

i think i got it, gpu ppd is 32k+, please check out settings. gpu usage is 92%

I was trying to set up the QRB for myself, plus verify/optimize anyother settings for max PPD.

Other than having a passkey, you don't have to do anything other than finish before the goal time.
