Text only sigs for new members under 100 posts?

If this is possible and not too much of a pain in the butt to implement, I think this deserves some consideration...

Main reason they should have the ability is to allow them to post their system specs. Whether they join the forums to just ask a question or two or are planning on sticking around, it helps the rest of us answer their problems. This way they still have an incentive to get to 100 posts for the avatar and graphic sig, but the rest of us don't have to repeatedly harrass them for their system info. Helps everyone...

Anyway, if it's too much of a hassle, fogetta about it.

well Jason is actually working on a "my rig" portion of the user profile that would eliminate the need for such a setup. It will allow users to post the info on their computer for all to see.

Yeah but i kinda like being able to see there rig without following more links.. Unless of course itll be a direct link under there name or something that opens a tiny box to see like it used to when youd click the users selling ratings. The tiny box with all the feedback would show. I really dont wanna click there name, go to their profile and look for it... But a direct link would be rather sexy. Just like sellers rating.

cool, sounds good, but will we be able to possibly post another (somewhat) larger pic so we can post a pic of our computers too, im not saying let people put 1600x1200 pics in there, but avatars are too small for anyone to really tell what's in someones computer

hope that made sense to you

There's a thread in the case modding section to post your comp pics in, or you could do it in the showcase. That's not what the avatar is for.
