Hehe, good stuff. There should be a few for ATi on there like:
"After being announced, ATi always delivers its graphics/chipsets on time and in realistic quantities to meet the MSRP!"

*cough* Radeon Xpress 200 *cough* (3 months past the delayed date - postponed 4-5 months before that. 1 overpriced board available at 1 e-tailer)

*cough* X800XL *cough* ($170 over MSRP. 1 available at 1 e-tailer)

nVidia does sell us the most overhyped marchitecture though. So tired of hearing the fanatics go on about SM 3.0. I remember there was some rumblings about how the GeForceFX series use of 1.1 shaders was going to be an issue for them in the newer games and to an extent that turned out to be true, although no one expected the nex-gen chipsets or games to make such a huge technological leap forward, to render all of the older cards marginal performers. However, the difference in performance between 2.0b & 3.0 is close to non-existent and such a slim difference visually that argument really isn't justified. Now I wish I could find a review to compare the AA, because that is a difference you are going to notice in every game you play, and the GTs are finally starting to look like they have some value...

Edit: Comprehensive review, bad look @ AA, but you can see it in other pics.

Now that's funny.

They're both as bad as each other. It's like watching little kids scrap - wish they'd just cut the **** and build some cards.

Isnt ATI'S AA/AF better than nvidia...looks like it by that review and plus ATI has AAX6 while nvidia only has X4.

Exactly.

Yeah, ATi's AA is better. Does not look as obvious as it used to, because the 6XXX series did improve on it, but it's still kind of chunky around the edges in comparison. Decided I'm going to stick with the X800 after looking at the rest of the image comparisons. Kept seeing killer deals on the GT/Ultra, but I didn't blow all this money just for performance.

Im not bashing ATI. If i was on a real tight budget i would pick ATI their cheaper. But i still like nvidias 6800gt. Nvadia was wining in the begging. Then it started losing by the 9600-9800 serirous. And now in my opion its winning.

Try knowing what you say, its nowhere near 800 bux.

In fact, cheapest PCI-E 6800GT & Ultra I could find here:

http://www.komplett.nl/k/ki.asp?sku=304715&cks=PRL

http://www.komplett.nl/k/ki.asp?sku=306303&cks=PRL

Your turn.

You seem to be a fanboy-all-the-way, maybe you should start accepting that nVidia still doesn't rule it all and that they won't bring out a new card untill next year...

Dude, check my first post. The 6800GT is just a tad cheaper here and the Ultra is much more expensive than the 850XTPE, same store as you can see.

Euro to dollar conversion is 1.30:1, round about. Dunno how you lot did it but the dollar is pathetic lately. So add a third to 470, minus the fact that you just have less tax in america, means you lot are just being ripped off.

No, I don't consider the X850 a new design, dunno if you know the facts even. The X850 is what the X800 should have been, since it was scheduled anyway they finished development on it. nVidia was a bit too early with their NV40 (for ATi that is) so they released it as the X800, but unfinished. Now it is...

I'm not saying that, I'm just saying your price comparison is way off. You says 800 bux first, then on newegg its 700. And I don't know how much that 6800Ultra is with you lot, but that's expensive over here... Perhaps nVidia should get its supply lines straight for once.

here where i live ati is a **** load more expensive, the HIS 9800PRO iceq whatever is like 279 , came down from 299 and the 6600GT is only like 320 and the 6600GT is way better then the 9800PRO, and the 9800xt's cost more then the 6600GTs.

Ive still got a 9600 and im going tp upgrade soon, probably to nvidia because i dont have alot of money and they seem to have good cards mid range. I mean, ati has the 9800pro and xt which in my opinion are still a little high priced and then if you want to go one step up it'll cost you alot more, with nvidia, get the 6600GT, or the 6800LE, NU GT, U. You have some choices. But i like the quality of my 9600, just lacking in fps now.

Hey, can we play this game aswell? Wouldnt mind getting a free vga.

yeah it just depends, i personally tend to stick with ATI for the top of the line cards and Nvidia for the cheaper and mid range line.

and the 6600GT beats the 5960ultra right? if so, what the hell are nvidia thinking, or who ever is pricing them, i dont understand how the 6600GT is cheaper.
