Agp notches seem backwards

ok I know theres diffrent voltages and diffrent designs to prevent people from frying there card. But heres my delema. I am building a media receiver basiclally Im building a small quiet pc in the bedroom that runs my videos off my server. I received an old amd pc after building a new pc for a pal. The pc has an old rage 128 in it but i need to add a tv out option to hook to an old tv. (AVI svid). I tried to install a newer 9600 xt but quickly realized the slots dont match. But if i flipped the card so the agp connector is in the computer the slots fit fine. Is this a case of the diff design for voltage or do I have a backwards card.

Second if I cant use the card would a pci card work the same in the way of system resources. Its only a 600 mhz cpu and 128 ramm and im using it for video so i want it to run decent what should I do.????? thanks in advance

oh and also i have a tv tuner card a haupage they dont do tv out right. I know its a lot thanks

most cards, even 3+ yrs old should have a form of TV out. My 6 yr old riva tnt 2 ultra had tv out.. that thing was awesome
about the notches being backwards, dont try it...you might end up frying it..besides, having the thing in backwards will be kinda odd with the slot/cabling anyway
do you have any pictures?

if worst comes to worst, just buy a cheap card like a 9500 or 9200 and it should be good. (BTW, pentium 3 wise, 500mhz is about enough to play divx, but an AMD 600 is probly lots better )
