Far Cry = Broke
The first image is with 1.31 patch installed only, the second is with 1.33. 1.33 was fine until I got a first glimpse of outdoors Anyone know what's up? using Cat 6.7 highest settings 6xaa 1680x1050.. thought it was the overclock but it's perfectly fine as soon as I look where there isn't any outside stuff. edit: I should mention that it froze after a while of me staring in anger at those beautiful artifacts- on a 3 month rosetta stable CPU and GPU that's been fine for many many hours of CS:S and it's also a fresh windows install. So it's sure as hell a far cry problem, or maybe drivers, or something Additional Comment: On further inspection it appears ati tray tools is the problem. I uninstalled everything and installed 6.6 and tried it, worked fine. Installed ati tray tools next and outside doesn't work. I have all settings on default, anyone know what setting might be at fault here?? There is a lot to try and rule out I can't restart and not load att everytime I want to play far cry ![]() Additional Comment: ok, so I tried without att and just atitool and it still has corruption. I also tried fresh reboots without att or atitray set to autostart, so they never even loaded, and it didn't work. ![]() suggestions?????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Additional Comment: turned lighting down to low and fixed it.. I believe it's an issue with 6.4 and later, according to this thread. I tell ya if I install 6.3 and it works fine, I will NEVER buy an ati card again due to their horrible drivers. I probably won't anyway because of my hatred of ccc forcing me to use ati tray tools, which isn't that much better...... I loved the 7800gtx and it's driversI hope to god the G80 is better than R600 Last edited by repoman : 08-01-2006 at 07:52 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
