Question A different angle

Hi All,

I am planning in the near future to build a Micro-ATX unit with a conroe processor. Can you reccomend a good speed?

I was also wondering how much would you safely put a Micro ATX case?
Case: http://www.apevia.com/product.php?pid=145

For a graphics card I guess the GF7900GT runs quite cool and efficient.
Would 470W be sufficient for such a card and processor?

Are there any problems fitting a large heat sink to one of these motherboards? Considering it maybe be moved quite often what would be a safe weight limit?

I hope these aren't stupid questions. Iam concerned that my smaller system may keep too much heat inside. At least it has windows

Many thanks!

If by "good speed" you mean which processor model to get? Then, get the one that you can afford. I would put a vote in for the fastest 2MB one they have, 6600 maybe? Im not up to date on the conroes...

Uhh... not sure what you mean. Like, phyisically put into it? You can put as much into it as the case will allow. As long as you dont have things pushing or scraping or shorting out other things, and there is enough room that cooling wont be disrupted, then you can put as much as possible into it.

If you get a nice power supply, I think 470W might do it, but I would maybe look into a 520 or so...

I dont think mounting the HSF onto the motherboard will be a problem, but fitting it into that case might be be [/quote]
